Make Vernissage*: Fresno’s Art Rendezvous your next destination! Our gallery and studio opened on July 1st, 2018 just on time for its first Arthop™ on Thursday, July 5th.
*From French vernissage, derived from the earlier habit of the artists to varnish their paintings the day before the opening of an exhibition.
Founded and owned by award-winning French artist Ma Ly, Vernissage is a fine art gallery representing emerging and established California artists, sculptors, and ceramists. Conveniently located in the Fresno City College and Fresno High School neighborhoods, it is also the home to Ma Ly Atelier that offers ongoing art classes for adult and youth and workshops taught by Ma Ly and local hand-picked experienced artists. We are proud to be across from our sister gallery A Sense of Place, owned and operated by award-winning pastelist Ginny Burdick.
Our facility is an official Arthop™ venue. It is comprised of two large rooms: the North Gallery designed to showcase a variety of traditional and contemporary work of art and the South Gallery that features one local artist per month.
Are you seeking to learn how to draw, paint, improve your artistic skills, or just need a a refresher? Ma Ly offers classes for all levels from age 7 where you will study drawing and painting by practicing different media (acrylic, oil, pastel, watercolor, graphite). Check out what students do on our facebook page.
Our new studio can accommodate up to 8 students. Groups are small to give individual attention and to meet demand. Classes are on a first come first served basis so pre-registration is required. Please contact us to secure your seat. We hope to see you soon!
