Make Vernissage*: Fresno’s Art Rendezvous your next destination! Replacing the Fresno Art Hub, the fine art gallery and studio Vernissage opened on Monday, July 2nd, 2018 just on time for its first Arthop on Thursday, July 5th from 5:00-8:00 pm.
Founded and owned by award-winning French artist Ma Ly, Vernissage represents emerging and established California artists and sculptors. Conveniently located in the Fresno City College and Fresno High School neighborhoods, it is the home to:
- Ma Ly Atelier that offers ongoing art classes for adult and youth and workshops taught by Ma Ly and hand-picked experienced artists.
- the Alliance Of California Artists, non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and promoting Central Valley artists.
*From French vernissage, derived from the earlier habit of the artists to varnish their paintings the day before the opening of an exhibition.
Our facility has two large spaces: the North Gallery designed to showcase traditional and contemporary work of art and the South Gallery that will feature one local artist per month.
Are you seeking to learn how to draw, paint, improve your artistic skills, or just need a a refresher? Ma Ly offers classes for all levels from age 7 where you will study drawing and painting by practicing different media (acrylic, oil, pastel, watercolor, graphite). Check out what students do on our facebook page.
Our new studio can accommodate up to 8 students. Groups are small to give individual attention and to meet demand. Classes are on a first come first served basis so pre-registration is required. Please contact us to secure your seat. Thank you.
