Fresno’s Art Rendezvous

Make Vernissage*: Fresno’s Art Rendezvous your next destination! Our contemporary art gallery and studio opened on July 1st, 2018 just on time for its first Arthop on July 5th.

*The French word vernissage references the practice from the late 1800’s of applying a coat of varnish to a painting a few days before the opening of an exhibition.

Founded and operated by award-winning French artist Ma Ly, Vernissage represents emerging California Central Valley artists, ceramisists, and sculptors. Conveniently located in the Fresno City College and Fresno High School neighborhoods, it is also the home to Ma Ly Atelier that offers ongoing art classes for adult and youth and workshops taught by Ma Ly and hand-picked experienced artists.

We are proud to be across from the art gallery A Sense Of Place, owned and managed by award-winning pastelist Ginny Burdick.

The Galleries

Our facility is an official ArtHop™ venue. It is comprised of two large rooms: the North Gallery, designed for group shows, and the South Gallery that feature one local artist per month.

The Studio

Are you seeking to learn how to draw, paint, improve your artistic skills, or just need a refresher? Ma Ly offers classes for all levels from age 7 where you will study drawing and painting by practicing different media (acrylic, oil, pastel, watercolor, graphite). Check out what students do on our facebook page.

Our new studio can accommodate up to 8 students. Groups are small to give individual attention and to meet demand.  Classes are on a first come first served basis so pre-registration is required. Please contact us to secure your seat. Thank you.
